Fluid Lines is an independent, family run snow and watersports shop based in Colchester, Essex. Selling specialist equipment for skiing, snowboarding, windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking.
Since 2009, Fluid Lines has been offering a wide selection of quality products for snow and watersports. Due to the years of experience in the industry Fluid Lines staff can offer expert advice to customers on the best products to suit their needs.
We don’t just sell snow and watersport products, we ride them, test them and if they are good enough we sell them to our customers online and in store.
Founder and owner of Fluid lines Dave has been teaching skiing throughout Europe since the early 1980’s, and is qualified to the highest level, holding BASI Level 4 (ISTD) and holds the French Equivalence.
For the past 25 years he has been mainly based in the Portes du Soleil ski area, as well as many other European resorts. He is currently teaching ski courses and off piste training for Freedom 2 Ski for 2-3 weeks a season.
Dave has worked in the snow and watersports industry for over 25 years and uses his expert knowledge and experience to guide customers towards the ideal choice of equipment for their individual needs.
Will splits his time between winters in Europe and summers in Colchester. Similarly to Dave, Will holds the BASI level 4 qualification and currently works in Verbier for Element Ski School and Peak Leaders teaching regular clients and training new ski instructors.
He has been windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing since he was 11 and tries to spend as much time in the water as possible in the summer!
Tom is the youngest son and currently splits his time between Exeter university, ski teaching and working in store.
Tom is currently progressing though his BASI qualifications and holds the BASI level 3. Tom has been surfing and windsurfing from a very young age and more recently has added to SUP surfing to his repertoire.
Sam has been working in Fluid Lines since its beginning and has been progressing though his ski teaching exams and currently holds the BASI level 3 with the aim of completing the BASI level 4.
He has taught for 4 winters in Zermatt and has just completed a MSc in physiotherapy. He is also very passionate about windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing over the past 15 years. Sam is responsible for the shop’s website and digital marketing.
Judy has worked in the snow and watersports industry for the past 20 years. Once a professional windsurfer, she can offer expert advice across all the sports sold in store.
Judy is a keen skier and manages to get away for 2-3 weeks to Europe every season.
