Snowboard boot fitting in Colchester, Essex. Getting a snowboard boot that is right for you is so important and your boots are the first point of contact between your feet and your snowboard. At Fluid Lines we endeavour to help to find the best fitting boot for you.
What we can do for you?
- Making sure that you are in the correct boot size and width for your feet.
- Tailor snowboard boots to your feet by using either trim to fit or custom footbeds which help to better support your foot.
- Heat and custom mould the inner liners of the boot to your feet reducing the ‘breaking in time’.
- Stretch the outer shell of the boot to accommodate small foot quirks and bunions to eliminate pressure points.
- Burton and ThirtyTwo snowboard boot liners are fully heat mouldable which helps give a great fit, making the liner specific to your feet. We also use toe bumper set which allows us to push out liner just around the toes to give you that little bit of wriggle room without compromising on fit.
Aftercare
If you purchase a pair of boots from us we will endeavour to make any changes to the boots so that they continue to fit well. We can re-mould the liner as much as needed, completely free of charge.
Boot Warmers
If you suffer from cold feet or struggle with poor circulation, boot heaters may be an option to consider. In most cases they consist of a small heating element that sits under the foot and a battery unit which fixes onto the back of the boot. We sell products from a brand call Lenz.
Footbeds
How do Superfeet footbeds work?
Footbeds inside your ski boots not only provides added comfort it also stabilises the foot and improves posture which in turn can help improve your technique whilst combating foot fatigue. Superfeet insoles help to adapt the flat, 2 dimensional midsoles of your ski boots to your 3 dimensional foot. The distinct Superfeet shape helps to stabilise the foot, while the deep, structural heel cup and full-length foam provides support and control.

We offer both trim to fit footbeds and custom footbeds from Solemate.
Solemate Custom Insoles
Solemate insoles are fully customised, 3D-printed footbeds designed to match the exact shape and biomechanics of your feet. Instead of using a standard template, Solemate builds each pair uniquely for the individual. Because the design comes directly from your 3D scan, the insole matches your foot far more accurately than traditional custom orthotics or off-the-shelf insoles.
How They’re Made
1. 3D Foot Scan
We begin by scanning your feet using the Solemate software in store. The scan captures your foot shape, arch height, pressure zones, and alignment with extremely high accuracy.
2. Digital Biomechanical Analysis
Once your scan is uploaded, Solemate’s specialists analyse your foot posture and movement. They then design a personalised insole in CAD software, adjusting elements like support level, contouring, heel shape, stiffness.
3. 3D Printing
Your custom design is produced in the UK using advanced 3D printers. The insoles are printed in a recyclable, durable TPU material that provides both structure and flexibility. After printing, they’re refined, quality-checked, and shipped to the store or directly to you.
