As Autumn draws near and the water starts to get colder its time to think about donning a thicker wetsuit to keep you warm through the winter. September is when we start to see the arrival of winter wetsuits in store and in this blog we will run through the new models for this season.

Ripcurl

For this winter we have a new brand in Ripcurl. They make some of the best wetsuits on the market and a brand we have been considering stocking for a while. Ripcurl design a great range of suits covering from the top end Flashbomb to the high quality price point wetsuit in the Omega.

Flashbomb 5/3mm

One of their most popular wetsuits is the Flashbomb 5/3mm. This combines most stretchy neoprene in the Ripcurl range (E6) with the Flash lining (right image below) making it one of the warmest, lightest and fastest drying suits on the market.

Omega 5/3mm

The Omega 5/3mm offers high end features at economical price. Ripcurl uses E5 neoprene in the arms and E3 in the body. The whole suit is glued and blindstitched with taping in critical stress points to increase durability. This makes the Omega a super warm and flexility suit without breaking the bank.

O’Neill

One of the top selling brands at Fluid Lines, O’Neill are a team favourite!

Psycho Tech 5/4+mm

A new wetsuit for winter 2019/20 and O’Neill have increased the thickness. The body is now 5.5mm and the arms and shoulders are 4.5mm thus you get an even warmer suit. It has the all new fully taped TB3X inner taping to keep the suit as flexible as possible. It offers superior warmth with the thermal Air-Firewall lining (see right image below) which retains your body heat for longer keeping you warm in the water even in the coldest of winters.

Psycho One 5/4mm Front Zip and Back Zip

The Psycho One minimal seam madness and is available in front zip and back zip closures. The ultimate high-performance cold water wetsuit. Built with ultra gooey TechnoButter 3 Neoprene and ultra-minimal seam styling offers unrestricted mobility, enhanced durability and incredible fit. The Psycho One is certainly one of the best selling wetsuits in store.

Hyperfreak 5/4+mm Womens

The O’Neill Hyperfreak 5/4+mm chest zip winter wetsuit for Women is a new suit for 2020 and has been upgraded to now include fully taped seams to ensure no water intake whilst maintaining flexibility. The + relates to an extra 0.5mm of Technobutter 3 neoprene on the body of the suit and an extra 0.5mm of 3X neoprene on the arms and shoulder  giving you additional warmth and still maintaining the incredible flexibility.

C-Skins

C-Skins have developed some of the some of the warmest suits on the planet, developed for cold waters. Designed in the UK, they create premium quality wetsuits that utilise cutting edge technologies.

ReWired 5/4mm

The ReWired benefits from a  radical overhaul for 2020 with  innovations to improve fit, durability  and stretch. This new streamlined design  works in perfect harmony with Diamond Flex neoprene throughout the upper body – the stretchiest and softest neoprene we have ever  produced for unsurpassed paddle  power and reduced fatigue over long sessions. FutureFit 2 improved  body mapping increases durability through a new seam pattern that reduces stress at key points when you’re really pushing the suit hard.  Finally the high-stretch Thermotech lining throughout the body ensures critical warmth and fast-drying performance between surfs.

Legend 5/4/3mm

The name says it all…The continually evolving Legend just gets better and better as the top end features found on the Core Series filter their way down the line. Xtend neoprene through the upper body gives great stretch and freedom while paddling, and the True Thickness neoprene keeps you warmer than any other wetsuit available at £140.

ION

Back in store again after a short absence, ION design some of the best wind and kitesurf wetsuits on the market.

Strike Core Semidry 5/4mm

Strike Core wetsuits are more than just basic all-rounders. The single-lined back panel allows freedom of movement where needed, whilst Hot Stuff liner provides warmth and quick drying. In spots without thermo lining, super soft Silk_Stuff increases next-to-skin comfort to the max. The front zip version makes sure there’s nothing to interfere with your paddle power. Highly durable nylon in the leg and torso area make the Strike Core a very robust.

Trinity Core Semidry 5/4mm

The Trinity is the female version of the men’s Strike Core above. The Hot Stuff liner ensures no limitation in stretch and keeps you warm at the same time. The easy access front zip make sure that there is nothing to compromise the flexibility of the suit!
