The Capita Mega Mercury Men’s Snowboard 2027 is an ultra-premium all-mountain and freeride snowboard designed for riders who want serious power, high-speed stability and exceptional versatility from a single board. Building on the proven Mercury platform, the 2027 Mega Merc adds a range of upgraded materials and construction technologies to create a lightweight, highly responsive board capable of handling everything from fast groomer laps to deep powder and demanding freeride terrain.
With a Directional shape, 0.5-inch setback and Directional Flex 7, the Mega Merc is designed to deliver powerful performance while retaining enough versatility for all-mountain riding. Its Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Techcombines elevated contact points with a camber platform under the bindings, providing edge hold at speed while helping the board transition quickly and stay buoyant in softer snow.

Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech
The Mega Merc uses CAPiTA’s Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech profile, developed to balance aggressive edge hold with improved powder performance.
A raised camber platform between the inserts provides the pressure and grip needed for high-speed riding and variable snow, while the elevated contact points help the board release more easily and float when conditions get deeper. Flat Kick arcs at the tip and tail further improve transitions, allowing the board to move quickly from edge to edge.
The result is a directional profile that feels powerful and planted without sacrificing the versatility expected from an all-mountain board.
3D Thermopolymer Starship Core™
At the heart of the Mega Merc is CAPiTA’s 3D Thermopolymer Starship Core™. Premium, reforestation-certified poplar is selected according to weight and grain consistency, providing a strong and lively foundation with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
The poplar core is reinforced with bonded channels made from post-consumer recycled thermopolymer. This hybrid construction is designed to retain the natural pop and response of poplar while reducing weight and adding a distinctive, powerful ride feel.
Hybrid Holy-Sheet™ MEGACARBON™ Construction
The Mega Merc’s lightweight performance comes from its advanced Hybrid Holy-Sheet™ Tri/Tri fiberglass and MEGACARBON™ construction.
Carbon additives are integrated directly into the Holy-Sheet fiberglass, improving precision during the manufacturing process while reducing overall weight. Combined with the Mega Merc’s stiff directional flex, the construction provides a strong balance of response, stability and energy.
The result is a board that can be driven hard through turns while remaining exceptionally light for its level of performance.
MEGALITE SKIN™ Topsheet
CAPiTA uses its MEGALITE SKIN™ topsheet to further reduce unnecessary weight. The super-thin matte laminate is claimed to provide a 60% weight reduction compared with conventional CAPiTA topsheets, contributing to the Mega Merc’s lightweight construction without removing the durability required for regular mountain use.
MEGADRIVE™ XT Base
The Mega Merc is finished with CAPiTA’s premium MEGADRIVE™ XT base, a high-performance sintered race base developed for maximum glide.
The base uses UHMW polyethylene modified with high carbon content and specialised additives to promote fast, efficient movement across a broad range of snow conditions. CAPiTA has also increased the thickness of the XT base to improve durability, making it better suited to a board
