The Capita Mercury Men’s Snowboard 2027 is a highly versatile all-mountain and freeride snowboard built to perform across a wide range of terrain and snow conditions. Combining a directional shape, 0.5-inch setback and Directional 6.5 flex, the Mercury is designed to deliver power and stability when charging while retaining enough versatility for powder, groomers, jumps, side hits and park laps.

At the heart of the board is CAPiTA’s Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech profile. This combines a raised camber platform beneath the inserts with elevated contact points and Flat Kick tip and tail arcs, giving the Mercury strong edge hold at speed while making it easier to transition, float in powder and handle changing terrain.

Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech

The Mercury’s Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech profile is designed to balance aggressive edge control with all-mountain versatility.

The raised camber platform through the inserts provides the pressure and grip needed for high-speed riding and variable snow, while the elevated contact points help the board release more easily and improve flotation in powder. Flat Kick arcs at the tip and tail further assist with fast, smooth transitions between edges.

This combination gives the Mercury a confident feel when carving on firm snow without making it overly demanding when conditions soften or the terrain becomes more varied.

Directional Shape and Death Grip Sidecut

A 0.5-inch setback places the rider slightly towards the rear of the board, creating a natural directional stance that benefits stability and float without sacrificing the board’s ability to ride switch when required.

CAPiTA’s New Age Progressive Death Gripâ„¢ sidecut combines multiple radii through the running length of the board. This helps provide reliable edge engagement while maintaining smooth turn initiation, giving the Mercury the versatility to move between carving, freeride lines, jumps and natural terrain.

Hover Coreâ„¢

The Mercury uses CAPiTA’s Hover Coreâ„¢, a premium core designed to provide a strong combination of low weight, energy and vibration damping.

The lightweight construction helps the board remain responsive and manoeuvrable, while the core’s damping characteristics help smooth out variable snow and high-speed riding. This creates a board that can be ridden aggressively without becoming unnecessarily heavy or cumbersome.

Amplitexâ„¢ V-Tech Amplifier

For additional response, the Mercury features an Amplitexâ„¢ V-Tech Amplifier. This construction combines natural flax fibre with carbon strands, bringing together the reactive energy of carbon with the lightweight and dampening characteristics of flax.

The result is increased energy and response while helping maintain a smooth, controlled ride through rougher snow and demanding terrain.

HolySheetâ„¢ Tri/Bi Construction

The Mercury uses CAPiTA’s HolySheetâ„¢ Tri/Bi fiberglass configuration with Magic Beanâ„¢ Resin. The high-tensile fibreglass construction is designed to increase strength and responsiveness without adding unnecessary weight.

Combined with the Hover Core and Amplitex reinforcement, this construction gives the board a strong power-to-weight ratio and plenty of energy for ollies, jumps and aggressive turns.

Hyperdriveâ„¢ Base

The board is finished with CAPiTA’s Hyperdriveâ„¢ sintered base, developed specifically for high-speed performance. Its high-molecular-mass polyethylene construction and specialised processing are designed to reduce friction and maximise glide.

This fast base complements the Mercury’s all-mountain character, helping it maintain speed across groomers, variable snow and longer traverses.

Sizing

The Mercury is available in a particularly broad range of sizes, from 147cm through to 161cm, alongside 156W, 158W, 160W and 162W wide options. CAPiTA’s published sizing recommendations are based primarily on rider weight and boot size.

For example, the 155cm is recommended for approximately 59–86kg with men’s boots around EU 43 and above, while the 157cm is listed for approximately 59–86kg with smaller boot sizing. The larger 159cm and 161cm options extend the recommended weight range for heavier riders.

CAPiTA also notes that sizing down can create a more manoeuvrable setup for spins, butters and jibs, while sizing up favours increased stability at speed and bigger airs.

Who Is It For?

The CAPiTA Mercury is aimed at riders looking for a genuinely versatile board capable of covering most of the mountain. Its Directional 6.5 flex gives it enough power for confident high-speed riding, while the hybrid directional profile keeps it accessible across a broad range of conditions.

It is particularly well suited to riders who want one board for groomers, powder, freeride terrain, jumps, side hits and occasional park laps, rather than a board dedicated exclusively to one discipline.

Summary

The CAPiTA Mercury 2027 is a proven all-mountain and freeride platform built around versatility, speed and response. Its Directional 6.5 flex, 0.5-inch setback and Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech provide a powerful combination of edge hold, float and quick transitions.

With a lightweight Hover Coreâ„¢, Amplitexâ„¢ V-Tech Amplifier, HolySheetâ„¢ Tri/Bi construction and Hyperdriveâ„¢ base, the Mercury delivers the performance to charge hard while remaining versatile enough for powder, jumps, side hits and park laps. For riders looking for a single snowboard that can confidently handle almost anything the mountain offers, the Mercury remains a highly capable choice.
