The compact outline is designed to maximise manoeuvrability and responsiveness, making the Whip particularly effective for modern wave riding and Strapless Freestyle. A hip-squash tail combined with increased rocker allows for ultra-snappy, controlled top turns, while the thinner rails provide additional bite and precision when attacking the pocket. The result is a board that feels immediately responsive underfoot and can be redirected quickly through tight sections.

Despite its compact shape, the Whip D/LAB is designed to generate and maintain speed even when the waves lack power. The fast, drive-oriented rocker line works with a channeled bottom shape to accelerate quickly and carry speed through weaker sections. This makes the board especially effective in smaller surf, where maintaining momentum and creating speed under your own power are essential.

The advanced D/LAB construction combines lightweight Carbon construction with strategically reinforced Innegra to deliver an exceptionally responsive yet durable board. Innegra reinforcement in critical areas, particularly around the rails, increases ding resistance while maintaining the low weight and sharp response expected from a D/LAB surfboard.

For added comfort and control, the RMF 3.0 Shock Absorber combines Reflex Memory Foam with Innegra Shield technology. The system reduces high-frequency vibration and absorbs impacts, creating a smoother, more forgiving ride in choppy conditions while also helping the board maintain its lightweight performance characteristics.

The Whip D/LAB also features Responsive Flex, combining optimised bamboo layers with composite materials to create dynamic flex and torsional response.
