Duotone X Pace Windsurfing Sail 2026 is Duotone’s fastest no-cam freerace sail, developed for riders who want near race-sail performance without the weight, rigging complexity, and handling demands of cambers. Designed around speed, acceleration, and locked-in stability, the X_Pace delivers the direct forward pull and top-end control of a cambered freerace sail while remaining significantly lighter and easier to handle.

The project originated from experienced freerace sailors looking for modern high-speed performance without the physical demands of heavy cambered rigs. After two years of development, Duotone created a unique shaping concept that generates strong pre-shaping in the luff panel without cambers, producing the same dragster-like acceleration and connected board feel usually associated with race sails.

A defining feature of the X_Pace is its compatibility with both SDM and RDM masts. Thanks to the sail’s heavy pre-shaping and optimized luff curve, even larger sizes can effectively use RDM masts without sacrificing performance. This creates a lighter, more maneuverable freerace setup with easier waterstarts and reduced swing weight compared to traditional cambered freerace sails.

The 7-batten layout is directly derived from Duotone’s WARP_FIN World Cup race sail and provides exceptional stability, control, and wind range. Combined with the narrow mast sleeve, shorter boom lengths, and progressive cutaway clew design, the sail maintains responsive handling and smooth rotation while still generating impressive top-end speed and fin-driving power.
