120 Flex & Downhill Performance

The 120 flex gives the Unlimited 120 DYN the stiffness required for confident downhill skiing while remaining suitable for a boot designed around touring. Its construction is focused on transmitting energy efficiently from the skier through the boot and into the ski.

Nordica’s Tri Force Cuff Construction uses different material densities throughout the cuff. A softer section around the shin promotes a smooth flex and improved mobility, while the middle section provides lateral support and energy transfer. A stiffer rear section supports the spine and ski-walk mechanism for improved control and response on descents.

65° Ski-Walk Range

The Unlimited 120 DYN features Nordica’s Change/Switch ski-walk mechanism, providing a substantial 65° range of motion when unlocked. This allows the cuff to move naturally while skinning or hiking, helping make uphill travel more efficient and comfortable.

When locked for skiing, the aluminium mechanism provides a secure connection between the cuff and shell, maintaining the stability and response needed for the descent. Forward lean can also be adjusted to tailor the boot’s stance and skiing characteristics.

Precise Wire Closure

Instead of conventional buckle construction, Nordica uses a streamlined wire closure system. The system wraps around the foot to create a close, supportive fit while reducing unnecessary hardware and weight.

When transitioning to walk mode, releasing the toe buckle removes tension from the wire system, allowing greater freedom of movement without needing to completely undo the other closures. This makes transitions between skiing, skinning and hiking quicker and more convenient.

3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft® Light Liner

Inside the boot is a 3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft® Light liner, designed to combine low weight with supportive performance. Its three-dimensional shape follows the contours of the foot to enhance fit and response.

The liner is thermomoldable, allowing it to be customised for a more precise fit. PrimaLoft® construction also helps keep the liner lightweight, while Nordica’s Isotherm material is designed to retain warmth and manage moisture.

Touring-Compatible Sole

The Unlimited 120 DYN uses Nordica’s screw-on, interchangeable sole, compatible with both GripWalk and alpine touring standards. Integrated Dynafit® inserts provide compatibility with appropriate low-tech touring bindings.

The replaceable sole design also helps extend the usable life of the boot, while providing useful versatility for skiers who split their time between resort skiing and ski touring.

Who Is It For?

The Nordica Unlimited 120 DYN is aimed at experienced skiers who want a touring boot with a strong emphasis on downhill performance. Its 120 flex and supportive cuff make it particularly suited to aggressive skiing, while the relatively low weight and 65° range of motion make it practical for touring and longer approaches.

It is a strong choice for skiers who regularly move between lift-accessed terrain, ski touring and backcountry objectives and want a single boot that can handle both the climb and the descent.

Summary

The Nordica Unlimited 120 DYN combines a powerful 120 flex with a lightweight 1,680 g construction, 99 mm last and 65° range of motion. Its Tri Force cuff, wire closure system and thermomoldable 3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft® liner provide a precise, supportive fit, while the ski-walk mechanism delivers the mobility required for efficient uphill travel.

With GripWalk and Dynafit® compatibility, adjustable forward lean and a replaceable touring sole, the Unlimited 120 DYN is a versatile option for skiers who want serious downhill performance from a boot capable of tackling the entire mountain adventure.
