Its true-twin shape, traditional camber and mid-soft flex make it an ideal choice for riders looking to progress their freestyle riding, from flat-ground tricks and presses to jumps, rails and spins.
The true-twin shape provides identical nose and tail dimensions, making the Sensor equally comfortable riding regular or switch. Despite its freestyle focus, Nidecker has retained plenty of volume in the nose and tail, giving the board useful float when conditions turn deeper.
A spring-loaded Camber profile provides strong edge contact, reliable grip and plenty of pop. Combined with the relaxed mid-soft flex, the Sensor is easy to press, butter and manoeuvre while still delivering the response needed for jumps and more technical freestyle riding.
At the core of the board is Nidecker’s Master Core, combining poplar and paulownia to create a lightweight construction with a strong balance of strength, responsiveness and weight. Pop Carbon is positioned between the inserts and towards the nose and tail, increasing ollie power while helping absorb unwanted chatter.
The Premium Sandwich construction adds carbon stringers for additional pop, faster edge response and improved shock absorption. A Biax Plus fiberglass laminate enhances power transfer while retaining the playful character that makes the Sensor so accessible.
For speed and durability, the board uses Nidecker’s N-7000 Hybrid base. This high-density material sits between traditional extruded and sintered constructions, offering good wax absorption and fast glide while avoiding the higher maintenance requirements of a fully sintered base.
